The Northeast Miniature Horse
Club is a dedicated group of Miniature Horse owners, breeders, and enthusiasts
who wish to promote the enjoyment and humane treatment of all Miniature Horses.
Formed in June of 2005, we are an officially sanctioned club of the American
Miniature Horse Association, and as such, abide by their rules and regulations.
Our current plan is to hold 1-2 AMHA pointed shows per season.
Our founding members, who reside in New York and New England, are
men, women and young people from all walks of life who have almost a century of
collective experience with Miniature Horses. Some of us breed Miniatures and
compete on a national level, others show just for fun, and some simply love our
Minis and want to share them with the public through activities like nursing
home visits and parades.
Our club is committed to the
ongoing education of Miniature Horse owners and plans to host clinics which
will be open to the public. Our members also have a special interest in rescue
work, supporting the efforts of rescue organizations to advocate for and
improve the well-being of abused, neglected, or unwanted Miniature Horses. We
would like to be thought of as an area resource for the Miniature Horse
community, providing a referral service and a place where questions can be
answered and guidance found, from a trusted source on an ongoing basis.
We welcome anyone with
an interest in Miniature Horses, regardless of registry affiliation. Perhaps
your minis are still in your daydreams or on your wish list. Come join us, and
maybe your fellow Northeast members can help you make your dreams come true.
Feel free to contact any of our Executive Board members, all of whom will be
happy to answer your questions. Or click
